Located in Baraboo, WI (just south of Wisconsin Dells). Wisconsin’s largest state park. Towering quartzite bluffs overlook a 360-acre lake.
Enjoyed rugged early spring hikes with spectacular views of the lake. Encountered the spring clouds of lake flies, also known as non-biting midge (facemasks were actually a bonus), and maybe enjoyed a distillery too...🥴
Whitewater State Park, MN
Late April 2021
Located in south eastern MN. Established in 1919, rare geology in this unglaciated drift less area supports diverse ecosystems, dramatic landscapes and unique recreational opportunities.
We enjoyed hiking and site seeing but could see myself (if I had a lot of time) trying my hand at trout fishing🦈.
Glacier National Park, MT
June 2021
Located in West Glacier, MT (just south of Canada in western MT). “Crown of the Continent” established in 1910. Joined in 1932 with Watertown Lakes National Park in Alberta as the world’s first international peace park.
